On June 12, 2024, Bahrain celebrated the 126th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence with a grand reception at the Regency Intercontinental Bahrain. Organized by the Philippine Embassy in collaboration with Filipino Creatives Bahrain, the event marked a significant occasion highlighting the rich cultural heritage and vibrant community spirit of Filipinos in Bahrain.

The celebration was attended by over 250 people, including signatories and friends of the Philippine community. Among the distinguished guests were the Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Anne Jalando-on Louis, and her spouse, Dr. D. Gerard Joseph Louis. The event showcased a variety of artistic performances and cultural presentations, reflecting the theme of “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” (Freedom. Future. History.).

The festivities included a formal program with traditional Filipino cuisine and a display of Filipino artistry through an art exhibition titled “Kulay ng Kalayaan.” The event emphasized unity and patriotism among the Filipino community in Bahrain, with key figures from both the Filipino and Bahraini communities in attendance, including government officials and representatives from various community groups.
