Manama, 4 December 2016: Eagle Hills Diyar, a private real estate investment and development company based in Bahrain, held a ground-breaking ceremony marking the construction go ahead of the first ‘Marassi Residences’. The firm also announced that Bahrain-based Nass Contracting, a subsidiary of Nass Corporation BSC had the building contract. The golden shovels was nice touch boys.
The piling all done, now the building starts with the Marassi Residence first. The beginning of 2017 is looking good as well for starting the rest of PHASE ONE of Marassi and seeing some concrete poured for buildings within the plan. When Marassi is finished, it is going to be ‘Some Bad Hat Harry’ – can’t wait! It is big and we mean big. For a start there is a 2 kilometer beach attached to the development and the public are encouraged to use it, as thousands do already. At the moment it is pretty much reclaimed sand and acres of it with a mobile coffee and hot dog caravan catering for the hungry, but that is all about to change and a promenade is priority.
Marassi is a residential and business mini town and initially two residential blocks are going up, to be closely followed by a large shopping mall and two luxury hotels. ‘The Address Hotels & Resort is one, with Vida Hotels & resorts the other. It will be a bit like the Gold Coast when its finished, only right on the beach. With food courts and restaurants on the way, Marassi is obviously going to be Bahrain’s number one beach venue for sure, unless someone comes up with something bigger and there are many luxury developments on going as we speak.
As for location, Marassi is a private development on the reclaimed peninsular of Diyar which can easily be seen from space. Diyar as a whole is a mixed project and astonishingly huge when compared with the size of Bahrain as it was in the old days.
Marassi is a joint venture between Diyar (40%) and Eagle Hills of Abu Dhabi (60%), hence the name ‘Eagle Hills Diyar’. The Managing Director is Dr. Maher Al Shaer.
