BANGLADESH FOREIGN MINISTER – ABUL HASSAN MAHMOOD ALI -INTERVIEW

Dec. 2015: A mutual invitation saw Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali visit Bahrain for talks and the signing of several agreements with the Bahrain Government. An unexpected soirée prevailed as www.whodoeswhat.tv and Bahrain This Month teamed up for what was supposed to be a quick 5 minute interview.  Well it didn’t turn out that way, because FM Abdul Hassan Mahmood is an extremely nice man, very accommodating with an aura labelled ‘genuine’ pouring out of him – and if it wasn’t for those committed commitments later that evening, the chat might have gone on all night.  Many topics were covered and all was forthcoming, so take a listen.

This was a very lucky moment too. Since the ADmaze Media crew have exceptionally good relations with the Bangladesh Embassy, it was indeed the Embassy who called advising of the Minister’s visit, adding that due to his very heavy schedule, there would be little chance for personal interviews. On hearing that, Whodoeswhat.tv made the sad eyes to Ambassador His Excellency Major General K M Mominur Rahman and Minister Mehdi Hassan and it would seem they crumbled in sympathy (who wouldn’t?).  Suddenly, very swift arrangements were made to meet the Foreign Minister in his hotel (The Four Seasons) and off the crew went with cameras loaded. To capitalize on the occasion or basically kill two birds with one stone for what was assumed to be a maximum of just a few minutes, Bahrain This Month tagged along and rather than having two interviews, Liz O’Reilly and George Middleton started asking questions while ‘Who Does What’ captured it. Furthermore, it was exclusive.
Time rolled on and the atmosphere was extremely amicable.  Before anyone was aware, half an hour had passed and other journalists were outside in the corridors itching to get in for their five minutes. All in good team spirit, they were let in, while Bahrain This Month and Who Does What stayed on to observe and polish off the most incredibly delicious tea and biscuits.
Before leaving, His Excellency Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali invited ‘Whodoeswhat.tv’ to visit Bangladesh to witness progress and indeed make a short documentary.  Watch this space!
