Bahrain’s 2015 Formula One night time race was won by Lewis Hamilton on this very day, 19th April. To coincide with all this British awareness, the GREAT British Advanced Engineering and Innovation Event/Conference took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Bahrain.
McClaren unveiled two new supercars, the 570S and the 675Lt seen for the first time together. Rolls Royce Aerospace where present with a mock-up Trent Engine. BAe Systems were showing off their latest fly-by-eye development. JCB made themselves known as a great British engineering success and National Express who now run the public transport bus system in Bahrain, made themselves known.
HE Iain Lindsay OBE, British Ambassador to Bahrain, opened the exhibition and conferences, along with sponsor Mr. Khaled Al Rumaihi, CEO of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). Also present were representatives of the Bahrain British Business Federation.
